In contrast, the average user/indulger is able to function reasonably well in life, get by, manage the damage more or less. There's this dynamic that almost always seems to me to be at work with the public attitude towards the ever increasing list of vice-related indulgences.Ī particular widespread vice usually totally ruins the lives of a small minority of users/indulgers. Sorry to burst your bubble, but like millions of other perople that play violent games, or watch violent movies, I am just a normal guy with no propensity for real-life violence. One would think that I would be a mass-murderer, or serial rapist with all of the so-called "violence-training" that I have completed. What *is* known to me is the number of real-life deaths I have been the cause of. Also known only to God is how many pixilated "deaths" I have been responsible for in the many years that I have played violent video games. And God is also only privy to the number of "deaths" I caused while playing "army" as a child. Personally, only God knows how many "murders" and "deaths" I have seen portrayed in movies. I have to disagree with you Violent games and movies do not turn people into violent offenders. They go through the motions of doing just that.įirst let me say that a "rape simulation" game is far too perverse for my tastes. These games prepare a person emotionally to abuse the fairer sex.
